The Perfect Creepy Handmade Halloween Clown Vase – Inspired by One of My All-Time Favourite Horror Films, Killer Klowns from Outer Space

I Love Killer Klowns from Outer Space!
I don’t love it because it’s “so bad it’s good” nonsense - I love it because it’s just good… really, really good. I love its pure 80s B-movie energy, how ridiculously over-the-top it is, and how amazing it looks! 

Considering the budget and filmmaking restraints, it’s incredibly well-made. Its pure visual imagination is untouched. It's one of the most visually exciting films I’ve ever seen. The production design is out of this world, and the character design is just phenomenal!

That’s what inspired me to recreate 'JUMBO' one of my favourite Creepy Clowns in clay. I’ve been making a collection of movie-themed vases from my favourite films of the 80s and 90s (you can check them out [here]), but this Clown is one of my absolute favourites - creepy, scary, and super fun!

I first sculpted the vase out of air-dry clay around a glass liner so it both looks great and it's functional - it can hold both dry and fresh flowers. Then I painted the sculpture with acrylics and sealed it with a clear lacquer for durability. [The finished piece is available for sale here]
